Unique codes are a great way of measuring the success of email campaigns, delivering real value to your customers and controlling the use of each promotion.

Without EPOS

Our mechanic allows you to send out an email containing a promotion without the need to integrate with your till.

Customer Journey

1 - A customer will receive an email or another invite to receive their offer.

2 - The customer lands on a page where they are invited to activate their offer.

3 - The customer will be prompted to confirm they wish to use their voucher and that they are in the venue.

4 - If they click to confirm they wish to use their offer, a voucher code is displayed and they have 30 seconds to present the code to a staff member.

5 - Once the 30 seconds is up, the code is marked as redeemed and the offer is dimmed to show it has been used.

How will this work in my venues?

The unique code mechanic is designed to work without an EPOS integration. However, you can add a button on to your tills that can be used when a customer presents you with the unique code screen (remember to brief your Operations team on what to do!). You can then match up how many vouchers are marked as redeemed on your Airship account and how many have been redeemed through your tills.

With EPOS

If we are integrated with your till company, our unique code mechanic can be set up so the codes are redeemed through your tills. Depending on the till company, the codes will have either been sent by them or there will be a campaign set up in which we will use their prefix for the codes. The customer success team will let you know if there is anything you need to set up for the mechanic.

2. The code will appear straight away with no countdown (the countdown is removed so the redemption can be done through the tills).

How will this be redeemed in the venue?

Please discuss with your till company the best way to redeem these codes within the venue.

Adding the codes to my campaign

Once your fully branded mechanic has been created, we will send you a proof link which is used just for testing. You will then be sent a URL that can be used within your emails by linking within a call to action button. We can generate new URLs to use across your marketing for campaigns such as Welcome journeys, Birthday journeys, January campaigns and so on.

How can I keep track of redemptions?

Use the "Assigned and Redeemed codes" report to compare how many codes have been redeemed with those assigned. If you want to report on the number of codes redeemed per venue you can use the "Redeemed codes" report to do this. You can then use this information to shape future marketing efforts and give those who haven’t visited a nudge to do so.

Find out if a specific customer has used their code

Head to contacts > simple search and enter the customers email address in the "narrow search by personal details" field.

This will take you to the customers contacts record.

Click on "View unique codes" to see which codes the contact has been assigned and which they have redeemed.

You can also use QR codes in either of the mechanics if you wish! Just ask us to include these.
